Schnucks (Schnuck Markets, Inc.) is a regional supermarket chain founded in 1939 as a single store in north St. Louis, Missouri. The Schnucks banner operates 113 stores across Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana. In October 2025, Schnuck Markets joined with sister banners Festival Foods (42 stores in Wisconsin) and Hometown Grocers (9 stores in Wisconsin) under a new family holding company, 1939 Group, Inc., bringing the combined total to 164 stores across three banners. The company remains privately held and family-owned.
